PROJECT BACKGROUND & ENGINEERING CHALLENGE
The client operates a regional logistics and bulk storage distribution hub situated within the Senai Industrial corridor. The facility accommodates constant heavy vehicle movement, necessitating an extra-wide loading bay door measuring 7,200 mm in width by 5,500 mm in height.
Due to the expansive opening and Senai’s high crosswind exposure during monsoon seasons, standard residential or light-commercial slats were incapable of withstanding the dynamic wind load. The facility required:
- Certified wind-lock retention to prevent curtain blowout under heavy gusting.
- A high-duty 3-phase drive mechanism capable of 30+ continuous operational cycles per day.
- Zero operational downtime during installation to keep neighboring active bays functional.
- Integrated infrared photocell sensors and bottom safety edges to comply with Malaysian workplace safety standards (DOSH / JKKP guidelines).
